「軽騎兵と和服の女性」
「Hungarian Hussar – Japanese Girl」

日本とハンガリーは互いに遠く離れた場所にありますが、文化交流が二国間のつながりを密にします。 一本の木材の片側にハンガリー人の騎兵ユサール、反対側に日本人女性が彫り出されます。二つの像は互いに背を合わせています。二つとない同じ一本の木から生まれ背中合わせで立つ姿は、互いに離れられない関係であることを表しています。また、男と女という事から互いに惹かれ合う関係も表現しています。作品全体が、「木彫りを通して世界をつなぐ」という本キャンプのメインテーマそのものです。私が個人的にお伝えしたいメッセージは、芸術を通じ日本とハンガリーの文化を結びたい、という事です。

The intention is: although Japan and Hungary are far away from each other, the cultural relationship makes a close relationship between the two nations. A Hungarian horse soldier, a Hussar is carved into one side of the wooden log, and a Japanese girl is carved into the other side. The two figures are backing each other – they are situated behind each other: back to back – so in a way they belong to each other, they are created from the same one-end-only material. The male and female substance also attract each other. The whole composition is serving the main idea of the camp: To bring the world together. My personal message is to bring Japanese and Hungarian culture together through art.
