「自己を見つめて」
「Me Cercando」

彼が見つめているもの・・・・・それは虚空です。彼の視線が何かを凝視するのではなく、左右に少し広がっていることで何かを思索し、空想にふけっている様子を表現しています。彼は虚空に視線を向けながら、自身の内面を絶えず深く見つめ続けているのです。 この彫刻のもつ雰囲気は「静けさ」そのものです。しかし、この作品を見た人の心は、逆に何かしら動きはじめ穏やかでない気持ちを呼び起こすのです。２つの異なる形が出会う。尊敬し、支え合う２つの文化の出会いを意味しています。 それぞれの独自性を維持しながらも互いにはぐくむことができるのです。

He is staring at the air. He is not gazing something, but he looks beyond things, so he is thinking more broadly. He is looking at the air and also looking inside himself. The atmosphere of this sculpture is silence, but when people see this sculpture, they have a feeling that is not quite calm.
